“Building” is at the center of the Christian message.  As individuals, we believers are called “temples” – just as the physical Temple was the place where God manifested Himself (2 Chron. 7) – we are the spiritual temples filled by the Holy Spirit.  As a body, we are called to be that city on the hill whose lights shine brightly upon the darkness of a witnessing world.  As one to another, we are called to build up each other through encouragement, prayer, and other acts of love.

The Rock Christian Fellowship provides several opportunities for believers to grow in their faith.  Our Sunday and mid week services are where we worship and hear the Bible taught “verse by verse”.    There are men’s and women’s groups which meet on a scheduled basis, providing opportunities for more growth and encouragement outside service times.  The children are taught at their own level during service times, so that they too may be built up at an early age.  Our “building” opportunities are not limited here: through prayer and reading of the Scriptures, through opportunities we have to minister to others – even to the “least of these” (Matt. 25:40) – we encounter Jesus!

…do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? (1 Cor. 6:19, NKJV)

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matt. 5:14, NKJV)

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. (1 Thess. 5:11, ESV)
